Each year, the Missouri Arts Council selects the work of a Missouri artist as the image for the Arts Awards poster and invitation.

MAC makes their selection from the artworks accepted into the Missouri 50 Exhibition. This exhibition is held each year during the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia.
